Inspiration - Attica collection
The inspiration for the Attica collection was a beautiful overgarment called segouna (σεγκούνα in Greek) from Attica which you can see in the image.
The region of Attica has a very distinct embroidery style that utilises round-edged geometric shapes to create a rather dense decoration.
This very unique feel of the original design really fascinates me. So with the Attica collection of repeat patterns I wanted to explore ways of reproducing that with a more modern approach.
